This winter I’m turning to cooler tones when it comes to my nails; blue, pink, grey and white. I also got the opportunity to try out the new Rimmel London Rita Ora nail range and Orly breathable nail polish.
1. ORLY – Shade “barely there”
We tend to be hard on our nails, covering them with colour, gel or even acrylics. They often don’t have time to rest and recharge, leaving them dry, damaged and dehydrated. You can however heal your nails and still rock the hottest nail trends in town! ORLY’s Breathable Treatment + Color allows oxygen & hydration to penetrate the nail, allowing it to stay moisturised. The breathable formula nourishes and strengthens nails with Argan Oil, Pro-vitamin B5 & Vitamin C so that they grow stronger. With no base coat or top coat needed, the all-in-one longer lasting formula cuts manicure time in half.
The swatch above (white shade) took only two coats. The range of 18 colours is now available and cost R169.00 (18ml) each and is available online at www.indiGlow.co.za.
2. Morgan Taylor – Shades “girls rule” and “flirt in a skating skirt”
The new Morgan Taylor Winter 2017 collection has stunning and unique shades, “girls rule” is the light pink shade and “flirting in a skating skirt” is the blue. Morgan Taylor polish is by far one of my favourite brands, and I always pair it with their REACT top coat and base coat.
3. Rimmel London – Shade “My Grey”
This polish is part of Rimmel’s 60 Second nail polish and is new to the Rita Ora collection. I had the wonderful opportunity of chatting to Rita about her collaboration with Rimmel (see video here) and she said her favourite part about the nail polish is coming up with the names. This shade is called “Mr Grey” and I wonder if it’s got something to do with 50 Shade of Grey, as Rita is in the movie… Anyway let’s talk about why this polish is cool; it has 3 in 1 technology for up to 10 days wear, it’s highly pigmented and has a ultra-shiny finish, and lastly the unique flat brush give the perfect application in one stroke.
