A few weeks ago I was invited by Sasko to join their #SaskoChefsKitchen for an afternoon of great food, drinks and of course, cooking!
It was a fun afternoon learning how to create interesting dishes using only Sasko products (you’d be amazed at how simple and delicious some of the recipes are).
With a bit guidance from the gorgeous and talented Chef Zama we all got the opportunity to recreate a few fabulous dishes.
For starters we made a simple vegetable salad and salad dressing (from scratch) and for the main course we tackled a delicious pasta dish, made with homemade pasta.
Another unique aspect of the afternoon was the fact that we got to learn about food styling and have our dishes photographed professionally.
Tips I learned?
- Lighting is your best friend (photograph close to a window for good natural lighting)
- A little garnish can go a long way
- Create a theme for your dish, is it rustic or modern?
I still can’t believe I made the above dish, it looks like something out of a magazine! A little food styling really does go a long way!
